Itinerary
Meeting in Kabataş or your hotel
we head to the pier. Brief introduction about the Bosphorus as the border between Europe and Asia for thousands of years.
Northbound cruise
we sail past Dolmabahçe Palace, the Ortaköy Mosque under the first bridge, and the yalıs (Ottoman wooden waterfront mansions) along the coast.
Ortaköy stop
we get off to stroll the square, see the baroque mosque and try the famous kumpir (giant stuffed potato) from the local market.
Rumeli Fortress and Bebek
we continue to Rumeli Hisarı Fortress, built in just 4 months by Mehmed II before conquering Constantinople. Stop in Bebek for waterside coffee.
Crossing to the Asian side
we take the ferry to Üsküdar. Views of the Maiden's Tower and a walk along the waterfront of Istanbul's quietest neighborhood.
Return with sunset views (afternoon timing)
the Bosphorus strait at sunset is one of Istanbul's most beautiful sights.
